Volunteers are an integral part of the Maritime Museums. Our dedicated group assists with programming and expands the visitor’s experience. Many of the visions of the museum in Beaufort are helped made a reality because of active people in our community taking part.
There are many opportunities available for those who would like to be involved with our dynamic and diverse institution. History, science, sailing, environment, visitor services or fund raising: we can find an area that interests you!
The volunteer opportunities are virtually limitless. If your schedule is limited we have after hour events and committees that need your help. Regardless of time constraints, we can find a place for you in our museum family.
Volunteers receive discounts on programming (some are free) and a discount in the museum store. Not only is this an opportunity to meet new people, but also to be a part of a group whose goal is to preserve the past for future generations and to get others involved in our coastal heritage and environment.
