Brent Creelman
Friends of the Museum- Director of Operations

Brent Creelman became involved as a museum volunteer while helping with The Friends’ Junior Sailing Program many years ago, bringing with him 25 years of experience in the boating and summer camp industries. After college Brent was an administrator at Maine Waterways, a wilderness tripping camp on the coast of Maine, and then had The Sailing Place (boat rentals, charter, lessons, etc.) in Atlantic Beach for 15 years prior to coming to work for The Friends.

The Friends hired Brent in 2001 as Boat Program Coordinator, overseeing the boating related programs that The Friends administer in support of the museum, including the Boat Donation Program, developing additional programming, and overseeing Friends’ owned properties.

In April of 2003 Brent was appointed Executive Director of The Friends by the Board of Directors. He manages the Friends of the Museum offices, oversees the membership, development, and museum support staff and coordinates and supervises the museum’s Boating Programs and related activities administered by the Friends of the Museum.

In the spring of 2009 Brent’s title was changed to Director of Operations to better reflect the duties he has in running the non-profit and administering museum program support.

Gina G. Holland

Director of Development and Communications

ginaRaised in North Carolina, Gina graduated from Monroe High School in 1988 and UNC-Greensboro, where she double-majored in English and Political Science, in 1992.

Gina's professional experience includes working at Coyne Beahm Shouse, a marketing and advertising agency, currently located in Kernersville. She worked on the account services side of the agency. Her clients included Lowe's Home Improvement and Victory Junction Gang Camp.

While helping to open Victory Junction in 2004, Gina had the honor of meeting Paul Newman. Instead of framing the actor's photo, she leaves it on her refrigerator, so she is sure to see it everyday!

Gina's most recent work experience was as Outside Sales and Marketing Representative for Attorneys Title in the Triad area. There Gina built and maintained strong communications between the real estate attorneys in her territory and her company. These efforts helped to drive new business and retain and grow existing clients.

Following a trip to visit a college buddy in Beaufort, Gina decided to move here. Gina and her college buddy (now husband), Christian, can often be seen walking their two dogs, Bailey and Shack, around downtown Beaufort.

Gina will be focusing on membership, fundraising, community outreach and related efforts
